Tonight I ordered the rest of what I needed to get it on the road and tallied everything up. Bike itself was free, and I’ve spent $430 to get it complete and running. Cheaper than any running bike or scooter for sale in the local classifieds, and now I own a classic piece of motorcycling history. The only expenses left are random finishing touches like paint and a cargo rack.
Now I just need a helmet and motorcycle endorsement.

Yup...I want to get my bike endorsement so I can get a scooter. Also, if I ever import a Piaggio Ape,
I’ll need one...stupidly even if I import an Ape TM with the car-style controls (manual gearshift, clutch/brake/gas pedal, steering wheel, etc), it’s still classified as a motorcycle here because three wheels :/
Explain why taking a bike course is necessary to drive something that uses no bike skills at all....

Feels silly to consider that a motorcycle, but I guess the engine is too big to be classified as a moped (which has a 50cc limit). Strangely, apparently MA apparently doesn’t require mopeds to actually be able to be powered by pedals.

Watch out for the Watermelon Terror!
I love these bikes, and I think Honda did a great thing by bringing it back in 125cc trim this year for North America.

MA also says it’s only a moped if its max speed is no more than 30mph. So yeah, this has to be registered as a motorcycle .

Meh, I’m assuming your speedometer is optimistic. Plus how fast do you need to go on the V ineyard anyway?

Highest speed limit is 45
